last figure update for this semester

late couple nights, trying to kick myself in gear to finish this last project that i'm not too excited about - but i'm trying my hardest to syke myself into loving it, heh

anyway, i'll have more on that in the coming days (sneak peak below)

i got aggravated by an illo so i went to go scan stuff and browse the web at the labs, these are the last figure drawings i'll be doing for this semester - im really going to be in a bad mood this summer if i dont get time to paint and explore more with the medium - so heres to hoping i can find time to be the better artist i want to be! *gulp*

AND SHEESH!! classes are almost over

onto some work, these are pastel on toned paper;





i liked these a lot, i love it when i surprise myself with a drawing - one of the best feelings ever in my opinion

also, heres a sneak peak at the last illo project i was talking about;



character design for pinnochio

the assignment is 3 (kinda) sequential illos of pinnochio. i was gona do 3 others, but heh, naaaaah.

id be more excited about it if there were more time to do more painting, but a one week deadline isnt gona let me do that

i'd also like to take a moment to point out the illustration academy's new website;

its pretty great, and i hope they stay at ringling for the next couple years so i can save some dollars by not flying to wherever theyre going to be!! heh

couple new stuffs

hey thurrr!

lacking in the updates i know, so busy tho - end of the year is arriving and i'm swarming all over multiple projects. i need to slow down and take it one step at a time - i think thats the key to success - baby steps, then one big leap!

so heres some stuff to pass the time, 2 figure studies; one long pose, one color gestural study. below is a quick watercolor / gouache plein air - about 30/40 min







had a rough week last week, a lot of the things i was doing didnt come out the way i wanted, then i started feeling a little under the weather, but couldnt afford any medicine! cambels chicken noodle soup saved me i think
